How CreatorMecca works, and answers to the questions we hear most.
Getting started
- Create a workspace. Sign in with your work email, name your brand and pick your workspace address.
- Invite a creator. Set the price, number of videos and dates. They get an email, sign on their phone and land in the creator app.
- Review drafts. Drafts show up in Review. Approve, or request a fix with a note.
- Connect TikTok (optional) in Settings → Integrations to see sales and ad spend per creator and to apply Spark codes to your ad account.
Contracts and payouts
A contract pays its full price once every video in it is approved. At that point it appears in Payouts → Ready to pay. Pay the creator the way you normally do (PayPal, Wise, bank transfer), then mark it paid; the creator is notified.
CreatorMecca never holds or sends money, and doesn’t take a cut of creator pay. You can export payouts as CSV for your records.
How profit is calculated
For each creator and month, using TikTok Shop and TikTok Ads data you connect:
- Net GMV = affiliate sales attributed to the creator’s videos, minus refunds and returns.
- Total cost = commission + Spark Ads spend + GMV Max spend matched to their posts + their contract cost for videos posted that month + product samples sent.
- Profit contribution = Net GMV − total cost, before your cost of goods.
Each creator then gets a suggested call (scale up, keep, renegotiate or drop) with the reason. The Profit page has a “How these numbers work” section with exact definitions. Profit, sales and ad spend are brand-only; creators never see them.
Common questions
Who is CreatorMecca for?
Ecommerce and TikTok Shop brands that pay creators on monthly retainers or package deals, like a set number of videos a month for a set fee. If you have creators, contracts and Spark codes to keep track of, it’s for you.
Is this an influencer marketplace?
No. You bring your own creators. CreatorMecca runs the program after you’ve found them: contracts, samples, content, codes, profit and payday.
We already use an affiliate tool. Do we still need this?
Affiliate tools are great at finding creators and running commission deals. CreatorMecca is the layer after that: once a creator is good enough to pay a retainer, they move here for the contract, drafts, revisions, Spark codes, profit and payday. Your affiliate tool finds them. CreatorMecca runs the ones you pay.
TikTok has flat-fee collabs. Why not just use those?
Flat-fee collabs are handy for one-off videos. A retainer is a relationship: several videos, a sample, revision rounds, Spark codes, a payday and a renewal. CreatorMecca runs all of that and shows profit after the creator’s fee.
Do you take a cut of what we pay creators?
No. You pay a flat monthly price based on how many creators are active. What you pay creators is between you and them.
Do you pay the creators for us?
No. You pay creators in the payment tool you already use (PayPal, Wise, bank transfer). CreatorMecca tells you who’s due and when, reminds you before anything is late, and records the payment with your reference so both sides can see it. We never hold your money.
When do creators get paid?
In full, once every video in their contract is approved. Nothing upfront. The due date comes from the contract, and both sides see the countdown.
Can creators see our sales or ad spend?
Never. Revenue, GMV, ROAS, ad spend and profit are brand-only. That’s enforced in the database, not just hidden on the screen.
Does it work with TikTok Shop?
Yes. CreatorMecca connects to TikTok Ads, TikTok Shop and GMV Max to bring in spend and sales, and to add your creators’ Spark codes to your ad account. Both connections are optional: contracts, reviews, Spark codes and payouts work without them.
Do our creators need to download an app?
No download. The creator app runs in the phone’s browser and can be added to the home screen. Creators sign in with an emailed code, no password.
How long does setup take?
Creating a workspace takes a minute. Most of the work is inviting creators, which is one form per creator. Connect TikTok Shop and TikTok Ads whenever you’re ready.
We already have deals in progress. Can we bring them in?
Yes. Add a contract that’s already signed, one at a time or from a CSV: you enter the terms and how far along it is (videos delivered, what’s already paid) and upload the signed agreement. Nothing is signed again. The creator gets an invite and confirms the terms and progress match what they signed, or flags what doesn’t.
Plans and billing
See Pricing for plans. Owners manage the plan, invoices and payment method in Settings → Billing.
What counts as an active creator?
Only creators with a live contract count: sent, signed or running. Past and paused creators are free and kept forever.
What happens if we go over our plan?
On Starter, adding a creator past 15 asks you to upgrade to Growth first, in one click. Creators you already work with are never blocked, and nothing moves up on its own. From Growth up, we never block an invite: you can run up to 10% over your plan’s creator limit for one billing month at no charge. If you’re over two months in a row, or more than 10% over, your plan moves up to the one that fits, prorated. If that’s Enterprise, we talk to you first instead.
Can we upgrade or downgrade later?
Anytime, from Settings → Billing. Your data, creators and contracts come with you: changing plans never deletes, hides or archives anything. Upgrades apply right away and you pay only the prorated difference. Downgrades take effect at your next renewal, once your active creators and teammates fit the smaller plan; we show exactly what’s over, and nothing is removed for you.
Is there a free plan?
There’s a 14-day free trial with everything included and no card. There’s no free plan.
Do you take a percentage of what we pay creators?
No. Your price depends only on how many creators are active. Platforms that take a percentage of creator pay cost far more on a real program.
Do creators pay?
No. CreatorMecca is free for creators. Brands invite them.
Can we pay annually?
Yes. Annual billing is two months free. Enterprise is annual only. You can switch from monthly to annual anytime; switching back takes effect at renewal.
Can we cancel?
Yes. Monthly plans renew monthly and annual plans yearly. Cancel anytime from Settings → Billing in the app.
Is everything included on Starter?
Yes. Every plan includes the whole pipeline, importing contracts already in progress included. Bigger plans add room for more creators, more team seats and more brands.
